Playing MP3s works well, it keeps the albums together just like Winamp does, which means i'm happy. As for as i'm concerned, the closer an MP3 player is to Winamp the better. Once you start listening to an MP3 for a little while, the screen goes off and it goes into a sort of sleep mode. It takes a little while to come out of this mode, which is annoying. When you want to change track it has about 1 second of unresponsiveness until you can use it again. Its annoying, but not a big usability issue.

Terrible interface and slow but that's probably because of the MD. Nice looking player though, looks like quite the fingerprint magnet, like my PSP. Mine is way more silver than I expected.
I thought it would be more like stainless steel but its like a mirror. As soon as a 3rd party app comes out I will use it. And yeah, it is a fingerprint magnet, you can probably see in some of those shots the fingerprints and specks of dust on it. Yeah, I noticed the update, its for firmware 2.
And yes, I do see oily rainbow patterns when I hold it up to a monitor. Not sure why, it doesnt happen in natural light or lightbulb light. I took a picture of it:.
